digital imaging program

  my mother needs a program to scan slieds and save them and muck with them. i was going to suggest adobe photo deluxe, but apparantly it is not made anymore. but they have something called Adobe Photo Album, anyone use it? think it would work for a novice?

  There is Photoshop Elements which I think used to be called LE and comes free with some hardware.
