what would you charge (UK London Pounds) for a *very* simple 7 page html site, with search engine readiness?
plus the client wants hosting and stats and stuff wich I outsource at a very reasonable price, but what markup 20% ?
....out of interest?
anyone?

search engine readiness
mark up 30%

mmm 30%....
...I'm reckoning this is going take 24hours (spread over a week) does that sound reasonable ??

'search engine readiness' = not in Flash
- mirola0
not necasarily, i've got this idea that i'm going to try out on my next flash site where i have an xhtml page that has all the text that is used in the movie output in php with hardly any markup so it's fairly lean. then make it so that after 3 seconds on the page you get forwarded to the flash site. that way, search engine bots read the page, list it and move on before the 2 - 3 seconds whereas users are forwarded to the flash page. what do you think?

Can't search engines detect and ignore auto-forwarding pages? Good idea but I don't think it works.

maybe i could check the user agent in php before outputing the code that forwards the user on.

or maybe use getBrowser()
