Recently bought a 17" Powerbook, and I've just bought a 512MB upgrade. If I try to fit it myself (and not have it done by an Authorised Service Centre) will that invalidate my warranty?

no, it won't

just lob it in yourself, it's easy. Now you have no excuse for getting your site sorted!

there are two slots in the powerbook for RAM installation, one of them is user accessible, the other is only accessible to Apple Authorized technicians. if you try to do it yourself, you may void the warranty.

no you will not void it.. as stated directly.. here http://docs.info.apple.com/artic…
also here are instructions on how to replace memory.. but this shows how to intall also.
