I know about vx200's, gl1's, and 3ccd cams, but i can't afford one right now. Thinking about buying one of the SONY DCR-PC (dcr-pc100, etc) models, just curious if anyone knows which models of these smaller 1 ccd cams are the best, or if you have one or use it, if it's a piece of crap.
I want to do video work, motion video stuff, probably more for web and experimentation, but i still want something real nice, that I may even be able to use for college projects and not look like im using a hi-8 handycam. Please let me hear your experiences w/ any MINIDV cams you know are alright. thanks. or even email me

i know canon gl1's and gl2's are awesme. not sure if they put as much time in to their cheaper consumer cams than w/ the gl1's and 2's. I just wanted to get feedback on sony's cos i usually prefer sony to canon (when it comes to consumers cams, not pro.) so, thats why i was asking. if anyone has used, or knows someone who does use the DCR-PC line, let me know if you have good/bad luck w/ them, or their strenths or weaknesses. i'd like to find out from someone who knows, instead of trying to get some salesman to tell me just what i want to hear instead of the truth.
