I can't seem to find a way to auto replace double spaces with single spaces in InDesign. Anyone know? I figured this would be pretty straight forward.... nothing sems to work in the Find/Change window.

you defined anything in the paragraph-styles?
there's a way in there somewhere where you can set spaces/distance/tabs..
not sure if this'll help ya!

You mean double Spacebar spaces? those are easily fixed in the Find/Change box. (using InDesign CS on OS X)

Oh i think i know what you mean, like if somebody hit Return twice after a paragraph? In the Find/Change box, there's a tiny arrow beside the input field, click on that and you'll get a list of "invisibles", like the Paragraph symbol, which for some reason in InDesign is defined as "^7". Type "^7^7" in the Find box, and type "^7" in the change to box

Kind of Fifty50... I'm using InDesign2.0, and I'm looking to replace 2 space bar spaces with one space bar space. There's alot of content that was messed up to begin with. I trie putting ^w^w in the find and ^w
in the replace, but for some reason ^w
is a special character that can only be used in the find window...

why not just put 2 spacebar spaces in the find window: " " and put one spacebar space in the change to window: " "
That works for me...
