i shelled out 300 bucks for the upgrade and they dont even ship you manual. fucking fascists. cant get it to work with my rip server. tech support at quark says q6 is "finnicky" with fonts. jackasses

I now people hue paid good money for the application and it just does not work. Not in a production invierment where print jobs need completion and finished on time.
Its out of order.

Make the switch, InDesign pisses on Quark's stinking grave.

I'm on Quark but wish my company would change to Indesign.
• font issues
• Very Expensive
• An arrogant peice of software
• Cannot spell for shit: try internet/wesitem, dip shit!!Quark SUCKS DICK

Go to InDesign. You'll adjust in one week, i promise.
(even though your printer probably still prefers quark)

I started using InDesign last Monday, on Wednesday and Thursday I was designing and artworking a brochure at a client's office with them looking over my shoulder and I had no trouble at all using it. Go for it, seriously.

We still use Q4. It just works, like software should.

Where does pagemaker fit into all of this? Anyone like pagemaker at all? Is indesign > pagemaker?
- dstlb0
Pagemaker is dying. There's a special version of InDesign to replace it.

I dont like the : Draw box, import image, open .eps, place, etc... routine.
I prefer the : Click, drag, drop routine.

even the slightest mention of the word "Pagemaker" gives me nasty ulcers.
InDesign will import pagemaker & quark docs perfectly (if all the files are linked correctly)
