export to dv tape

hallo,
I'm exporting a premiere movie to dv tape through usb/firewire. It's recognising the camera, but when we send it to export... well it starts recording (but not the premiere movie). (I have the camera on record mode).any ideas what's happening?

not to sure but no need to set it on record mode. its exporting not recording. check the timeframe too :)

some cameras can't record back to tape, what camera is it?

you have to be sure you cam supports DV in... hope so...
otherwise there are modifications possible...

really sounds like it's not plugged in the dv in port or it's not set to "in". if it's a sony you can buy a switch for that. quite expensive. typical sony. and ofcourse stuff no sales person will ever tell you when you buy it.

ok, i exported my movie from imovie to the camera and it exported fine. Pile of shit... final cut pro is in order. Premiere's a big bag or wank.

did you select the right cam in the menu ? Which version of premiere ?
