Why doesn't my changes show up in my flash page. I'm hitting refresh but getting old crap. My updates ARE on the server. i downloaded my recently uploaded updates to double check my work, and it works off my HD. WTF?
Does Flash have refresh issues?

i have been having the same problems lately.. I try something and get a version from like 2 days ago.. even after i empty all my temp and cache. Really annoying!

Have you cleared your own browser cache?

I have had this years ago, with the webserver, serving up old swf files.
The only way I got past it was to take the file off the server and point my browser direct to the swf file...and wait for the 404.
Then upoad the new file and repeat the same process...with no 404 this time.
Then re-test your page..should be fine

and that will fix the update issue on any computer that the page is viewed on?
You'd think as widely flash is used this bug would be squashed.

You'd think as widely flash is used most of its bug would be squashed.
But they're not. Flash is a very buggy program and you've got to get used to its quirks.

put ?rand=yes after the filename in your html... it should force the browser to load in a new swf

just what james said, and if you are loading movies into other levels from inside other swfs maybe append the actions like so:
loadMovieNum("../swf/fooswf?rand... + random(10000), 10);
however your naming/file structure is working ...
and then everything everyone else has said too

Yep, what Versa said is the best way to do this.
With these random variables you force the server to 'think' and request a 'fresh page' everytime.
It has little do to with your own browser settings, you don't see me emptying my browser chache just to view some site...

Hey this might be of on a new tangent, but if your on safari, i've had issues where i couldn't see any update until i restarted, tell me if that ain't wierd...
