why am i always looking like the ass on this one... someone help me ... if i am wrong, someone please correct me ...
just happened again today on a project that has been back and forth for a year ... initially net 30ed them for the retainer fee (which i didn't need to do), then signed contract which states that all remaining fees are due upon completion of project unless project gets dragged out, in which case we will reevaluate, and create subpayments...this never happened though it should have ( again, trying to be nice), and now the project is done, they are happy, and they are thinking that have at least another 30 days to pay me the remainder... the contract clearly states this... i don't want to have to hard-line that detail to the point of being annoying. in the past when i have brought this up with clients at the beginning of a relationship, they act annoyed that i am hard-lining the final payment details so much at the beginning...
URGH! I need that money!
