Whats the mask made up of? Just one vector? or more?

when setting a mask, i have found that it helps to always be redundant with the path...ie
thisFooMaskeeMC.setMask(_root.Fo...
_root. assignment is redundant since the mask and maskee are both on the _root. in this example, but this has been necessary on many projects for me...otherwise the masks started to get ornery

Are you sure that the layer being masked is truly beneath the mask? In the layers window, does the masked layer icon appear to be benath the mask?

they the mask is masking about 7 other layer underneathh it.. could that be the problem? this seems like a flash bug?

sounds like you're using a mac. turn the mask into a graphic or mc, even if it's already one.

it was a moveclip and now it a graphic and it still doesnt work!!!
- tripleflux0
try nesting that movie clip inside of another mc, check the actions on frames inside of the mask. if that doesn't work, restart and rebuild the mask.

Are you masking dynamic text? won't work w/o including fonts.
