Weimaraners were originally bred in Germany (70%Pointer)about a hundred years ago and kept only for the distinctly upper classes, you had to join a club to own one and if one was to be sold outside the club it would be sterilised beforehand. Then an american guy managed to bring one back to the states (fully loaded) and although he had good intentions he did not prevent the dog from breeding, ...the rest is history.

weimeraners are but very attractive... but have nervous brakedowns all the time!

not if they are trained properly. The only real problem with them is that genetically they can have bad hips.

Alot of dogs that size can have hip displacia. It's not a big deal if you watch their weight and help them exercise. There's even dietary supplements that can help.

awesome jevad, those dogs look beautiful throughout their entire life. I have some relatives in TX who have had one for a while, they are always soft and great to lay next to.
As for the dog, it's great too.Just kidding.

wow, we're all about dogs this weekend, I see. Contia, since I've had my new pooch (how old is this thread?!) I've discovered that she's all about border collie. No, husky. Maybe aussie. And she's a house-guest nipping, frisbee athelete fiend. My other pup is half husky and very mellow.
Huskies are the best but have to watch it cause it seems like many of them are cat (and any other furry moving thing) killers.
