Anyone know of some good Windows software to sort directories of fonts for duplicates (by name, info, metrics)?
Ive got a out-of-control 40k font archive Id like to remove the dupe's from before I take on the task of organizing by style/name.

Yeah somethin like that; I tried FontAgent 8.8 but it is only interested in crashing :P

I would suggest Adobe Typemanager but a mate of mine managed to totally fuck up his system font's when he tried to use it. So much that Flash became unusable because you couldn't read anything and he couldn't fix it.

You make it sound so attractive!
I use ATM for my PS font (but really dislike the interface) and suitcase for my TTF.
Really Im just looking for a tool I can feed some of my font archive dirs and have it sort through them and remove any duplicates .... which sadly seems like a lot to ask for some reason.
Where is the iTunes of font management?

Oh yeah, Im also open to suggestions on how to handle such a large archive. What do you 30k+ guys do in suitcase? I like to keep collections of sans, serif, script, pixel, etc. but it becomes problematic when you have familys that consist of both sans/serif (Rotis, et al) that you want to keep together ....
