Just wondering...
I know some of you here are Old Schoolers and have been hanging around Newstoday, maybe even after you have moved on to a Job more financially appealing thatn Web Development. Just wondering who you are & WHAT YOUR DOING NOW ON THE SIDE OF WEB DESIGN TO MAKE SOME MONEY?
Stupid caps locks.
It's not that Im not designing or develping anymore, I just found something that can make me more money than Web Design. I am working in Housing Appraisals. What about You?

I'm currently arguing with PIXELRANGER about whether brown and yellow is a good color combo.

Yes they can be a very good combo as long as you use the RIGHT Brown and Yellow. Pixeranger might be right, Im not sure I have not read that thread...

not everyone on here is/has been a web developer

I think that a slightly olive brown is a VERY snappy combination with a slightly orange yellow. Viva brown and yellow!

ppffff...not very happy with you house appraisal types right now! I just bought a house and the taxes are cheap but the assessor guy just came by last week so now my taxes will go up. ggrrrr...
why would you walk away from design? That's a serious question, by the way. I sometimes fantasize about the easy life as a starbucks employee but think I'd be miserable.

i know a guy who's a manager at safeway. dude makes some serious cash....i had no idea they made that much.
downside is, he's a manager at safeway. it's all about loving what you do for a living...do that and the money will come sooner or later. most likely later.

"Downside is he's a manager at Safeway"
lol
I did not walk away from design, I have about 75 clients that host websites with me, I just stopped talking in extra work unless they are my previous clients. Im still designing. I also work for a Club and spend half of my time there Doing Lighting and Audio and the other half sitting in the office building their new website. So im very much still a developer.

i'm toughing it out as an environmental technician at the moment, to pay off some of my web developin debts... when our company closed its doors earlier this year, the great jobs didnt seem to be there in web development, but the environmental science job was there... i needed to pay some bills, and i thought ti might be nice to put the degree to use for a few months. I am hoping this wont be a permanent career move though.
