Director MX font issue

    I haven't been using Director very long, so I don't know it very well, but here's my problem.
    In program, I can only see my fonts from A-H. If I want to embed a font I can see A-Z, but only a fraction of all enabled fonts on the system. Everybody in my class is having the same problem to various degrees.
    Would any of you folks have an explanation or a work around for this? One suggestion I've gotten is to convert troublesome Postscript fonts to TrueType, but boy, that could get annoying. Any easier tricks would be much appreciated.
