how do I resize 20 pics to the same size all at once, instead of having to resize them one by one?

Actions in PS are easy as, and makes fer light work thats fer sure

basically, what you want to do when you is record an image resize using actions. You can find it in the history tab.
Create a new set (folder icon in palette)
Create a new action (next to the folder icon)
press record and adjust a sample image.
press stop
go to file/automate/batch
select your stuff and thats it

there is an easier way.
get all your layers in
create a folder in your layers pallette
put all the layers in it
highlight the folder
transform

Image Ready has a few Batch features that Photoshop doesnt... more optimized for web production. Also try making droplets so you can just drag a folder full of images onto the droplet to run a whole bunch of steps, such as resize, sharpen, set contrast, add text , set quality and format and save wherever you want...
