peep the moving shadow

  let's say you have a site where all the content loads in a 'square' that is dynamically positioned into the center of the browser window. This square is against a tile patterned background that casts a subtle drop shadow. How can this shadow cast dynamically while the position of the main area is indefinite?

  I've seen this done in flash, on a site called, peep something... It featured bird photos in a fancy little birdhouse.
