shamless plug but o well they do rock..

I'm pissed that they played at the Stadium Exhibition Center last time they were in Seattle.
The place has possibly the worst acoustics of any BUILDING in the city - but they played there so they could cram more kids inside.
Nevermind that it sounded like crap.Previous time around they played at a much better venue.
Jack White needs an ego check.

i don't get the white stripes - contrived souless shite IMHO
- cinder0
They probably seem contrived now that they're on MTV and winning Grammies - but their little dress up act and raw garage blues shredding have been around for a long time.
They kinda of seem like sell-outs to Hollywood to me, now.
Kinda weak.

I feel kind of lucky I got to see them back in 1999 at SXSW kind of before everything blow up. I also met Long Gone John that night, nice guy too he was the first to sign them before XL. Their stage show was much more raw back them not as doll up as it is now. I still like the music they are putting out, but it's true their where tons more bands palying this style of punk/garage before them. Gories come to mind also from detroit.
