osx - xp share the web

howdy.
I know this has been discussed before, I don't seem to be able to sort it. I managed to connect my OSX mac to my XP pc via ethernet - meaning that the mac can see the PCs shared folders and the PC can see all the mac folders. BUT, I can't make them share my ADSL connection, no matter which computer is connected. It seems pretty simple when I read about it, but it just doesn't work.
any ideas?

Not sure if this will help. Connect it to you mac. then try messing with the settings in the sharing preference panel for internet. and make sure that your firewall settings are set up correctly.

if you want a simple and more secure solution, buy yourself a 4port router and connect all your computers to it. it's easier and you'll also have yourself a nice firewall.

yep, router way better... You'll finfd it much more useful if you want to try stuf l ike accessing different services on each of the 2 machines remotely etc..
