...and the difference between a record player and a turntable is that a record player needs nothing else. It has a speaker(s) built-in and runs by itself.
A turntable plugs into a amp/preamp or whatever.

go to the turntable page. Vestax has a portable record player for $129. I had an old ass portable one that was good enough for a room. Sound quality wasn't super but all my records are old so it didn't really matter.

£2000 for the Wilson Benesch Full Circle (that'll be the round one), and £1365 for the Clearaudio one, hence the 'if you win the lottery' comment.
