okay, basically im doing a video installation and i want to get my AVI files (i can convert to quicktime or whatever if need be) to VHS as its the cheap option for me at the moment...
basically.. my avi looks real poo poo quality even though i exported for "broadcast quality"
heres a snapshot.. i still have "blocks" all over my image...
also - how do i import photos for use in broadcast? im running through old tv's but i want to fill the screen with whatever photo etc, in a movie. (basically a montage)
can anyone help?
hope im making sense!

whatever editing software you are using should be able to handle static images...then it is just a matter of placing them on the timeline for the correct sequence and duration...
dont compress your video when you render it if you are outputting to tape anyway...if you need to compress it for archiving purposes use cleaner or sorenson sqeeze...
to get your movie to vhs just plug your computer into a tv, get the movie playing on the tv, plug a vcr into the tv, press record while the movie is playing...shouldnt be much more complicated than that...
sorry i cant be more specific without knowing more...hope that helps

are you using premiere©?
if so make sure your Computer can see your computer and your VHS can see your TV. Then go >FILE > EXPORT TIMELINE > EXPORT TO TAPE. then press record on your VCR and your off.
Hope that helped. sorry it took me so long to respond.
