because I'm about to abuse the local social contract and ask *gasp* for flash help.
Seriously though, I'm sorry to bug you guys, but this is an urgent request.
--How do I adjust my buttons so that they stay on the "down" stage or something to create the illusion of a "visited" link in HTML.
I guess I've never considered this before and it seems very fundamental, I'm sure the answer is obvious.
Thanks in advance.

Hey bgheen, have you done a search here yet? This question has been asked many times... you might be able to find something. Or check the usual:
http://www.flashkit.com
http://www.actionscript.orgit's not too difficult tho...
good luck!

i think you can also do it with actionscript, but a more primitive way would be to have each button in it's own movieclip, which consists of 2 frames. The first frame for the up state, and the second for the visited state. When they click the button, send the clip to frame 2, visited

or just import xml or html...
but yeah...use an invisible button that tells "info" to advance to next frame which is "infoClicked"...really simple really. it requires two lines of code, which throws people off more than not.

Thanks for the advice Bug, I have searched but have encountered the major flaw in search engine technology:
if you don't know the appropiate terminology, it's useless.
