Hello, I would appreciate your comments on this layout schematic.

_thank you_

The nav on the right would look nice if the black background when you are mouse_over was the same size for all buttons.

The title (high tech) is much improved from the last round. I like that you've opened up the screen, not confining to a small box.
I think that the left navigation bar area needs to be much stronger. The heaviness of the black and red create an imbalance that almost looks like a technical mistake.
Will you use some imagery? The right side of the bar looks a little empty.
It's getting better though!

nononnoo... it looks good staggard.
i like the site, simple clean to the point.

I agree with the clean design. I would get rid of the gradient in the white areas, which could help with the balance.

hmm. I really don't see the red and black creating a color imbalance. They are also "required colors." I will probably stay away from imagery too.
Oh yeah, I would love to make the mouse overs the same size though, as it is CSS, I know of no way to do it...
The site is xhtml strict also! No tables. that was fun.

additional thoughts?

I like it.
How about just one vertical dashed line inset about 6 pixels from the left edge of the black and red bars?

Thanks Paulrand. I will play around with your suggestion.
btw I really like the work you did for Marathon Restaurants

With all that CSS on every page you should just link to a external css script. No need having a user download it again every page.

True Epictive. I have included the css into the head for purposes of development. It will indeed be external when complete.
Thanks
