How do ya'll who work for yourselves keep your clients from monopolizing your work days? I'm relatively new to this working for myself thing.
I have a hefty workload (yay!) but I'm struggling with being in control of my work day. I've tried not answering phones in the a.m. so I can concentrate but that doesn't seem to work well with clients who expect me to be there on demand.
I either need an office manager or love slave.

i've thought about making feedback forms on my website where clients can formulate their ideas/write them down/ ask questions and vent etc... that way you can deal with them at a set time but i reckon clients always want to feel loved and that you're listening to them.

hhmm...sounds good in theory mirola but don't think it will work with my clients.
I email them detailed emails and they'll call me rather than email back. And when they call...if they have to leave a voice mail, they just say CALL ME as soon as you get this...with no details so I can at least be prepared when I do call.
Am I enabling my clients?? :)

may want to try the opposite:
utilizing your mornings for business and account managing... spend the afternoons and evenings in production - its been what i have been doing for a while now, and i have sort of gotten used to it now - good luck
