ok, i need help... cannot figure this out.

when i bring any vector images from illustrator into pagemaker 6.5 i get a light grey color where white should be.

for instance, if i have two squares, one is just black stroke and no fill and one is a black stroke and a white fill and then i take it into pagemaker the white fill shows up as light grey...

    any suggestions?
this occurs in both .eps and .ai formats.

oh...and the first person who tells me to use indesign will be getting a call from my boss so YOU can explain to him why we need to update his software.

    thank you

Sounds like a CMYK to RGB color shift issue, but I'm not sure. you may want to check that.

Have you ever used InDesign, if not you should, I think you'll like it a lot better than Pagemaker.

    :P

ok, ive given up on fixing the grey/white problem.

my problem now is, what is the correct way to save vector art in illustrator and the proper way to import it into pagemaker 6.5?

there is no way it should be this difficult, i have used quark many times in the past, and had no problems with this...surely there is something that i am missing here.

im working on a 28 page publicaton for a non profit, and im really really close to just saying fuck it all and doing the layout in photoshop or illustrator...it would be quicker.
