well, I went to punk shows at my local VFW from 12 or so... but the first show I went to at a real venue would probably be Rancid and Rocket from the Crypt at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC circa 1995. heh.. I think I liked the VFW Hall better, got to see some great bands in such a small environment.. Quite a few of them are pretty big now and would no longer play a venue like that ever again (like Less Than Jake and H20 for instance)
