discuss or not

I used to draw things like that when I was a kid.
But I grew up with Bush & Reagan

lowimpakt, do you ever cut loose and have a good time, or is always about war and famine?
- Gorbie0
Good point Dob.
Look, even the Chechens like to get down every once in a while.
- digitalswarm0
Seriously. I'd rather talk about design on a design site. There are other places for these threads.
- lowimpakt0
lol mr. dob. yea Im cutting loose pretty much all the time but I need a dose of reality every once in a while. helps put things in perspective and all that. also a lot of people seem to think the political world revolves around the white house and saddam, which it doesnt.
I have had a long attachment with the Chechnyn war having spent time in Russia etc. the more people that are aware the better.

Design site or not - things like this are important to get accross wherever you are. No politics in the work place? Fuck that. Some messages need to reach as many people as possible...

"in case you dont know where or what Chechnya is.."
- what, are you deliberately trying to be patronising?
- gordon0
the breadth and diversity of the threads on newstoday are surely one of its most positive aspects. From US unilateral foreign policy to mp3 fanny farts in just a couple of clicks... I wouldn't have it any other way.
- lowimpakt0
not at all, it was a joke. I was remarking on the lack of other political discussions being mentioned.
Chechnya is often called the forgotten war - forgotten by the worlds government and forgotten by everyone else.
sorry if it seemed patronising.

A big FUCK YOU to the ones who want to keep this so called design forum reserved for 'design related' topics.
I see a lot of 'other' rubbish on this forum aswell that doesnt concern you snobbish, blind know-it-alls.Welcome to the real world yah. If a thread doesnt interest you leave it after two posts.
I see reality as part of the design process and war is likely part of that.

"What level of censorship, if any, do you guys have on the site?
High levels of censorship exist at Newstoday. We never claimed to have something like “Freedom of speech” and it turns out that the title “Public Voice” gives that impression to some. Newstoday is run by QBN (The Quorporation Broadcasting Network), which has been nicknamed “Big Brother” over time. The title “Quorporation” was always intended to embody a tongue-in-cheek version of a big corporation, which is re-invorced by our audio-branding, for example. If people feel threatened by QBN, we have done our job successfully. Life isn’t fair, neither is Newstoday."so i guess if the mods don't want political shit on here there's nothing anyone can do about it.... so i guess until you get banned/flagged politic away.
- mrdobolina0
I bet you guys are a blast at parties...
Ha, just playing, I was just commenting is all.
- moth0
They've flagged people for talking politics?
That's bullshit... but if it's that how they run the show....
- jevad0
Howard - those photos aren't just political - they are fucking art.
stick that in your pipe.

I painted picture of "Harvest" at infant school. It was a combine harvester chomping hay and spitting it out the back... Anyway - it was apparently quite remarkable for my age. I still have it - mounted on the teachers best sugar paper mount!
I'm looking to frame it. It's my best work...
