I know this is nothing new... but...
"On Super Bowl Sunday, Apple and Pepsi will launch a historic promotion to legally give away 100 million free songs to Mac and Windows PC users from Apple's iTunes Music Store -- the world's number one digital music service."
How can it be "the world's number one digital music service" if it is only available in the United States? Am I missing something?

If you're American, yes.

If they sell more solely in the US than anyone else does everywhere in the world, then they're the biggest in the world, right? I think...

Right.

dstlb, I think what he meant was that if something is considored "the worlds number one" it means that it is favoured by the world. However the service is only provided to Americans (and not the rest of the world, who thus cannot favorize it), and hence the confusion.
I guess. (I don't use any music service besides the radio)
