the only reason i've ever been tempted to buy a G5 is because of the case. osx looks cool too. but other than that, i have no reason to use a mac. windows xp totally crashed on me about 2 months ago. that was the first time windows xp had crashed my system in the 2 years i've been using it. it was video related. the macs at work crash quite frequently. my friends ex-boyfriend bought a new G5. he has a huge cinema display too. when he was out of town and let me and my friend use his computer, he left a note that said "after you've been using the computer for a while, shut it down for the night. it tends to crash a lot when you've been using it for a while." it's a NEW computer. maybe he just got a faulty one. maybe all the G4s at work just weren't kept up. i don't know.

He has no business being on overclockers.com as it is. Because no REAL computer "modder" would type the sentence "I wanted a Dell." Stupid people say they want Dell's. Pot smokers say they want Dell's!! HA!!

Why is that site so buggy? Everytime I go to it something else doesn't work. In Firebird it's not working at all. In IE the images aren't working. Yesterday the 2nd page didn't work.

it's a hoax.
they posted a note on the same page saying it's all a joke, but the server's been so swamped no one's seen it.
here's the text (if you don't believe me):

"I have been feeling a little guilty about causing so many people out there to have nightmares, depression and sickness from my little joke. The reaction of people word wide has blown me away. I never intended for such a thing to happen.
My in box went from 1% to 100% in 2 days (1300 messages). So many people were pointing out what a stupid thing to do, so many people were telling me of feeling sick, some even said they cried. I felt bad for those people. It was amusing to read things like "I should be hung by my testicles and lit on fire" or the constant reference to "Taking a Porsche and replacing the engine with a KIAs". Most people cried out in horror and carefully pointed out the error of doing such a silly thing.
I am sure you are wondering why this all took place.
Are the pictures real? Yes.
Is it my own G5 case that has been cut and hacked? Yes.
Did I give away two G5 2GHz processors (IBM PC 970)? No!
So what happened?I got a free G5 shell from a buddy of mine and pulled a prank on a Mac loving friend. He got so upset. I wrote up a little story, my imagination and warped sense of humor kicked in. I sent it to OC.com just to see the reaction. I honestly didn't think it was going to be posted. I cannot believe how fast or how far it has spread on the internet. There are an amazing number of people who are emotionally attached to inanimate objects such as computers. Mac fans seem to be much worse that I ever expected. The G5 is amazing, I would never dream of really doing that ;)

mac a dodge viper? pc a neon? since when can a neon beat a viper in speed tests? (tests were done and the g5 matched the top pcs, at best.)
