If companies don't reply when you send them your CV (like many don't) should you ring and hassle/ask why or accept they don't want you?
Any opinions on this would be great. cheers, Lou

let us know how you got on.
- travieso0
would you work for somebody with such manners?
if they ever hire you, I wouldn't forget this first impression, just in case.

ring 'em Louise... it show's that you're really interested in getting a job with them.

then please stop sending badly qritten CV's in dirty brown envelopes, and CD's with no label on them!
- rasp0
that was badly qritten, james!

What kind of stuff should you say in that situation?
- JamesEngage0
and spell curriculum vitae correctly if you really feel the need to put it on your C V

give them a call, say hi i sent my cv in about the job, was wondering if you have had time to consider it blah de blah and ask them what they thought of it and if they would like to meet to see your folio.
thats IF you get to speak to who you need to (or they give you a call back after you rang them).
if you keep getting "oh he/she is in a meeting" "he/she is out" "he/she will call you back" all the time, then chances are they aren't interested and you can expect a thanks but no thanks letter in the post (if you're applying to a specific job ad).
good luck

What you should do is...
Get your CV, slightly soil it with perhaps a bit of bean juice, tea, coffee...etc then crumple up the envolope and send it...then wait about a week, and repeat the process, only this time make the stains worse and crumple up your CV a bit more and re-send.
keep repeating this... and if they have been just throwing it straight in the bin, then they will be a bit freaked out that it keeps re-appearing all dirty and ruined.
The CV that wont go away genius...eh...eh!!
:)

Remember some companies are just too busy/disorganized to reply... so call 'em.
I've recieved so many CV's that I just don't have time to reply to (mainly because people think we are a design studio with lots of people and we arent)...
