scars, obesity is a huge problem. it's not an issue of overweight people being looked down on or anything, it's an issue of the health of a huge percentage of people.

Gavin-believe me that is understood, from a first person perspective, and I don't mind thoughtful insights on the issue, but when people start slamming others beacause of appearance alone it just seems little too playground for my liking.

scars, i think you're totally right. maybe as a big fellar you have more insight into how fat people are perceived but to say "by the way, I'm fat, I hope no one minds" just sounds like a paranoid hang-up

Fatness does put a lot pressure on the heart and major organs as well as back problems etc. Having said that I'ts your choice and that is something I'm inclined to respect.

saw this movie at sundance last week. Crazy. Made me so sick. Concidering never eating fast food again. But lets not get drastic here.

Unfortunately, my slow metabolism(along with a lot of other things) is caused by a pituitary adenoma, a benign tumor on the pituitary gland. I am heavily medicated and on a very controlled diet. I wish it was my choice to be overweight, then I could change it.

sorry, it was wrong of me to insunuate that you have a chip on your shoulder. i type far too fast really and i end up shooting off a bit too easy.

yeah that sucks man. sorry to hear that. i've been blessed with extremely high metabolism. in fact, i have to eat continuously throughout the day or I get dizzy and can't remember things. i spend a lot of money on food because i refuse to eat fast food except for the occasional subway or taco bell. subway is cool though. i like subway. oh and there's also this fast food hamburger joint here in LA that uses great quality beef, whole wheat buns, and fresh veggies. i forgot the name of it.
