I like Dean, but i think he's unelectable. He's way too leftie for middle america.
I'd go with Kerry or Clark, both military men (something to dangle over Bush's absentee ass), both aware of the cost (both human and material) of war, and both relatively moderate democrats, willing to cooperate and compromise.
Kerry has better connections due to his extensive time in the Senate, and he'll have Ted Kennedy batting backup for him. Clark's kind of a dark horse politically, but people still remember him from his military days. I don't think Clark's very popular with the Pentagon boys, though, since they clashed over a variety of issues whilst still employed there.
