dude if you have a after market car stereo with aux inputs i recommend using that to hook up your ipod. i have it hooked up to my sony right now and it's perfection...sounds great.

I have not heard anything good about FM transmitters for ANY device. I would definitely not recommend them. What's your stereo got? if it has AUX inputs, do what swollenelbow said. If it only has a tape deck, get one of those tape deck adapters that sometimes come with portable CD players.

FM transmitters are illegal here in the Netherlands..

Mp3 can sound shite on a stereo anyway

other than some interference in the really busy parts of town, mine works rather well here in los angeles.

Mine works great. I used 96.9 in most of connecticut.. It comes in as good as any high powered radio station (which isnt cd quality by a long shot, but itll due for now!)
Even in phoenix where there's 2345234234 million radio stations it worked peachy

Mine works as good as FM in Florida. Doesnt sound as good as a tape adapter or direct in connection. But i dont have a tape deck or an aftermarket head unit.
I think it really depends on how congested the airwaves are in your area.

If you have a normal aerial on your car... you should put it down or unscrew it... otherwise it'll pick up the signal that a radio station is no as well as your own
