hey all
I want to take my home PC (sans monitor or bits) with me to the states.
Will it be easy enough to change the voltage on it or should I just not bother - try and sell it here and then buy a new one in the states? Reason I don;t want to do that is because if I do that I'll lose all my settings!
help.

probably just as simple as changing out the power supply, but i couldn't say for sure. the other obvious solution would just be to pull the harddrive and sell the rest... easier than luggin a big box around.

my pc has the 240 - 120v switch

oh yeah - I should probably see if it has that switch!
mitsu - yeah it probably is easier to pull the HD - but this move is going to make the bank balance very small so I'm trying to save money!
Also when I get there I want to be able to just plug in and get started sending out cv's - not fannying around trying to get a good computer....
