So what's the difference between buying the Adobe Creative Suite vs buying each software separately?
The creative suite is more expensive! What's up with that?

Well the general idea behind a "package" would be that you would get it cheaper, right?
But - if I buy each software that comes with the "Creative suite" (PS, Ill and so on..) separately, it's cheaper. It's stoopid.
I emailed the clever bunch over at Adobe, and I asked the exact same thing. Their answer was "well, you'll be getting them alltogether instead of lots of stand-alone apps". Bear in mind I asked why the price differs, not what was in the box.

If you've got an old Photoshop knocking around you can buy the CS Premium Upgrade for £565+ VAT. Do what I did and buy an old Photoshop on eBay and you're sorted :)

Hey, good idea! Thanks again. I've got a bunch of PS' around here, from v4 to 7.
Is it really worth it though? I've heard people complaining about how slow it is!? Are there any new useful tools?

Apart from GoLive I haven't found it to be particulary slow, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat are fine, haven't really used InDesign yet.

i am getting file error in CS..
i cant seem to open files (from PS 7 or 6) or can open files from PC......
i had to open in Image Ready and resave and reopen it again..
and i also set the compatibility to max....
whats up with that..

well jox you could always download copies and test drive em to see if it's worth ordering too... don't they have evaluations for all of those?
