Please be gentle on me. I have no idea about the web and how it works, but I am trying to lean. I know you guys are very knowledged and could do this in a second, but could someone tell me how to do this?
I want to crreate a directory on a web site that other people could go to to download a few pdf files. Like a click and download page. I have 7 files. Anybody, anybody?

I know... a lot of typos. I am typing quick. Countinue...

it should be as simple as uploading your files into a directory with no index page (index.html)
it wont be pretty, but it'll get the job done.

Really quite simple. As long as the .pdf files are on your server somewhere that you can remember, all you need to do is link to the files.name here

open index.php in notepad or whatever. look at the top line and rename
/ntpiss
to the same name as the folder you are putting the pdfs in. make sure index.php is in the same folder.also make sure you web host supports php

no bonseff is a real go-getter, so his way will look nicer than mine. . . so . . .
heheheheh.

hey bio, is it a permissions thing you did, i mean are all your folders able to be viewed? or just the ones you want?

yeah, .htaccess is another way to go about setting up viewable/non-viewable folders... and its super easy
