all fm transmitters do in fact suck balls. line in directly is the best way. that box ganon posted looks pretty rad. the tape thing works better then a fm trans. don't waste your money.

i'm not sure why so many people hate on the iTrip, i've got one and it works a hell of a lot better than a tape adapter or somehting like that...
if you want to blow a lot of $$

none of the fm transmitters work for me cause the radio signals around dallas are too strong.
since i can not use it in the car, i hardly ever use my ipod.

If your stereo has an extra port for say a cd changer, go to RadioShack or something like it and buy a cable that has RCA's on one end and a male headphone jack on the other. plug it in to the back of your car stereo and your set. the cable costs $5. i did it and it works great.

don't have a tape player and my rca's are already used up. any fm trans would probably suck, especially since i'm real close to NY signals.
maybe i can find an rca splitter. then again, for only 30 returnable bucks, I might as well try the itrip.

a splitter is a good idea. what else do you have plugged in?
