my .wav file sounds fine when triggered on a keyframe as the buttons appear, but when I try triggering the sound through sound object or on a button roll-ver, it doesn't work.
FLA = http://www.mdunkerton.com/nt/but…
any suggestions?

mySound = new Sound(this);
mySound.attachSound("bleep");
myButton.onPress = function(){
mySound.start();
}

Thanks unfit
I have tried the sound object method as you said, but it still doesn't produce the sound like when the first appear on the stage. If you roll over them quickly, sometimes the sound triggers, but not everytime.
could my sound be too small?

u could check the export settings for the sound
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/f…it's probably degrading your sound, making it smaller / unheardable...

shit, it looks the same to me. I got a ton more of those sounds if you want?

Jaz, my problem is in triggering the roll-over. I am using the same .wav file as when the buttons appear on the timeline.
The left side buttons use the sound object (as unfit said) to trigger the rollover sound
the right side button sounds are triggered through the overstate on the button timeline.
the sounds are playing, but not like they should sound. If you roll over the buttons fast, you can hear it, but individual button roll overs don't always trigger.
I think it has to do with what unfit said.
I would be interested in these sounds you speek of. How much?
