does anyone have, or know where I can get, free music samples or loops for Garageband in AIFF format?

what format man? you can always try E-mule. In fact I can see a ton of them there just from initial search dB.

ohh duhhh, I see right for Mac and .aiff but to be honest with you .wav should work just as well, meaning there is a plethera of Sound Loop CD-ROMs out there and you can find a ton of them all over the net. Just use Google.com. You should be able to loop .wav and .aiff together to be honest.

i don't know, i was lead to believe that if i wanted to import new loops, they had to be in AIFF format.
i'll search for E-mule though, thanks JazX.

well you can also easily convert .wav to .aiff and vice versa, so you should really have no problem in terms of mixing and matching your audio files. BTW, .rx2 format is the way of the future for most sequencers, then you once you are through you can export as a high quality .wav or .aiff. :)

that sounds all good JazX. How about free loops? know where i can get a hold of any of those?

Yeah, I'm on a Mac and I've worked with .wav files. No difference in my experience.

Flashkit.com and I have a limited small amount of pretty bad ones at this site of mine at http://www.loopkit.com but there are shitloads out there man. My CD has 1200 of them if you wanna buy it ehehee ;)

what i'm looking to do is to have more choices in GarageBand for loops, samples, instruments etc.
would your loopkit cd be helpful to me? sorry for all the questions, i'm fairly new to the music programs but i'm very hungry for information. you've been a huge help already JazX. Thanks Dude.

they are mastered .wav files and should be able to import into any sequencer whether on Mac or PC. There are a number of other programs out there like Sound Forge and others that will allow you to convert from whatever format into whatever other exporting format. It's all realtive in my book. .mp3->.wav->.aiff->.ogg->.wma->... but of course you do lose some quality along the way. :)

i guess what i'm really looking for is a CD {like yours at loopkit} filled with .wav files but just super dope. not one that's kinda cheesy and filled with shit i won't ever use.
Honestly, is your CD kinda cheesy or is it decent? is it worth buying?
