Hello,
Your site phonestrip.com is hacked and index page was changed.
I have placed empty page instead of changed index.php.
Please update index page.If you have any problem, please create ticket in Support Center:
blah blah blah

it's a clients' domain. i am supposed to be responsible for the site.
no explaination, no reason, no nothing. just a "please put your index page back".
how does this happen? have any of you peeps had it happen?
- rabattski&rabattski0
so the hackers send you this or your isp support?
- mitsu0
hmmm, it's either someone on the clients side (disgruntled employee), a hole in your security (shame on you) or a web host that needs to patch their machines, in which case, i'd find another host.

but from whom is the e-mail? that's the weirdest part.
- mitsu0
i would assume the web host. they would be the ones to replace the hacked index page with a temp page.

the email was from the isp, adulthost.com fyi.
they are pretty shit but nobody ever goes on the client's site even though it's a pretty good idea (women taking their clothes off on your mobile phone).

what? so how do they know it's hacked? as in, if i would have a website hosted with them and fake it's hacked they would delete it and replace it with a blank index file? and why didn't they contact you before they deleted it? quite rude i must say. deleting stuff without asking... anyways, if it was a plain site without any cms / admin / password etc. stuff than they are responsible for fixing it. unless you mailed your ftp pass and id to everyone.
