Would there possibly be an re-design status update for those of us on the other side of the fence?
(since the 'pink' approved topic is nowhere to be found... and please delete this thread if it is just trash)

it's an urban myth.
trash it!

hmmm try blather.org for the latest update i've seen on the redesign.
mike buzzard's personal site (he's one of the programmer dudes doing the redesign).

what redesign?
There just was a redesign a few weeks ago..... the site dropped the gay level quite a bit by removing the pink stuff.
- pagua0
ignored.
yeah, i looked that Blather.
all the people putting this together are really blessed with talent and drive.
i will have to wait till the thing goes live.

it's going to be great.
it'll be sponsored by Microsoft and will only work in MS IE 7.
it is also sponsored McDonalds, with the clown waving at ya in Flash.
it's going to be sooo entertaining!
(oh yes, and a merger with DeviantArt forums who actually directed the redesign for NT!!)
I can't wait!
- pagua0
that is sweet.
i bet we can design our own skins for it too.
i am start one now!
- JamesEngage0
In my experience it takes 10% of the time to do 90% of the work.
- pagua0
well said.
- jox0
Ha! What JE said. So true. So true.

Clients are so impressed when you knock up the prototype in a couple of days...and then can't understand why it can't just launched NOW...YESTERDAY!

you hit the nail on the head, mr. Engage.
It's what I have to avoid tomorrow, when I hand over the proposal to my client.. I already made a full page in photoshop.. and then they would think or say: 'well, but you already have one page done, eh?'
Educating clients about the development time is a must.
Then I'll have to tell them about usable/accessible code, graphic optimizing, testing, tweaking, testing etc. etc.

i have a standardized booklet i can print and bundle in which i explain these matters..strategy/planning etc.
it helps a lot, and if this piece of printed info looks spiffy you will impress your client as well!
