hello.
How do you change the application memory for an application on OSX? I go to "get info/ memory and I try to change the numbers in the boxes but I can't! It looks like it's allowed (it's white, not grayed out), but when I click in the text box, nothing happens. "help" doesn't help either.
any ideas?

there's no need to change the application memory in osx. it's dynamically assigned (or something like that). anyhow, you don't need to mess with that anymore.

OSX will handle your memory for you, where as OS9 didn't allocate memory to programs, OSX allocates and runs each program in their own individual memory shell.
you can still tell photoshop how much ram to use in prefs... but the programs should be fine.

thanks guys.
it still gives a message that says "there is not enough memory to open this secene,... you can allocate more memory by..." and so on (in flash), but I suppose it's some kind of default reaction by flash, cause in the end it opens ok.
anyway, thanks again!
