i love him. he is so fast and I really like the way he`s teaching. "Oh look what we have here...this guy needs a friend..."

my parents got me a set of Bob Ross tapes when I was like 14 (instead of a Playstation D: ), so I got paints and an easel and tried following him, but I would get so frustrated about 15 minutes into it, cause he made it look so easy and my attempts looked like shit. I'd be like "Hey, fuck your happy clouds! Mine look like used tampons!"
Pity about him dying, anyway, he was a good man.

There's some lady on PBS that does the same thing with watercolors, Fatty. Don't remember her name tho.

someone did a comedy piece centered around the fact that bob ross was a vietnam vet? or maybe it was korea... but it was kinda funny.... they re-enacted him having a flashback during one of his paintings...
"oh and here's a happy tree... oh look charile is in the tree, let's put a bullet in his ass..."
but in the comedy routine there were some racial explitives used i won't repeat here! regardless, it was kinda funny.

I remember watching one episode where he was explaining how he was teaching a class and he had one of those cordless microphones that attach to your shirt and he forgot about it... he went to the bathroom and the whole class heard him doing his "buisiness" I laughed!

"But remeber it's you world you can have it however you like"

"Mine look like used tampons!"HAH!!!!!
The fact that he made painting look so easy used to frustrate me terribly too.
Does anyone remember the name of the guy who used to come on PBS and drew strange little alien scapes with pens and magic markers? He would start in the corner of a 24"x36" page drawing these tiny, intricate alien worlds. By the time he was done it would fill the page and resemble a Where's Waldo painting (with the tiny details). Seems like maybe he wore some sort of space commander getup too.
He likely had bodies in his parents basement...

Brilliant man, I always considered him out there with van gogh and da vinci.
Seriously though, who would have guessed he would die of an heartattack.
