is anyone layering their bryce animations on top of video?
if so, how are/would you making your background transparent?
i know this is low-end but untill i can make the millions i gotta play the cards i have.

Have you tried mapping the video onto the object in Bryce?

actually that's weird you should ask that. I have been learning the Video Exporting capabilites of Bryce. It's really easy and not bad at all to learn after a few months. You can easily tween shit the same way you do in Flash. Export as .mov or .avi.

I wouldn't say Bryce is low-end, all depends on what your trying to do, not everything is 3Dmax and Maya and Lightwave etc.

i can export my .mov and bring it into AE/Final Cut fine, but i want to composite or layer the 3d animations on top of my video.
Mimio, what do you mean by mapping the video onto the object? Like bring the video into bryce? Explain if ya can.

You can also do that in a third party editor. Export your original .mov in Bryce and then play with applying layers on top. You can also import that movie back into Bryce and push that as a layer in your sequence.

anyway, I think it's a good tool if you use it right. I'm on your side man :)

just make sure you're outputting a 32-bit image (image with alpha channel) sequence. you'll have to composite in another piece of software (After Effects, Premier, FilmGIMP, Combustion, etc)
