Illustrator 9 is really fucking me around today. When you type some text in one colour then try to change the colour later on, it leaves a very thin outline of the original colour around it, and when you give the text no fill at all it just reverts back to the original colour. Does anyone know why it does this and how to fix it? Does anyone understand what I'm talking about or am I spraffing shit?

rather than just clicking on the text to select it (so it has a bounding box), try dragging your cursor along the text to select it (so that it gets blacked out... if ya get me). I have the same problem with illy 10 sometimes.

I get the same results by directly selecting the text. I had over 100 individual items of type to change but I've managed to fix it now - I just created a new piece of text in the correct font/colour and then applied the style to the other items. It's an awkward way round it but it worked. Thanks anyway.

Stimuli - this happens to me too - and quite randomnly. sometimes when i convert text to outlines and then change the colour it happens. i'm sure there must be an easier way...anyone?
