    Hi,

I'm heading up to Queensland for about a week and apart from the beaches and babes I need to know where I can find some nice T-shirts, fashion, and some decent bars.

    Any locals on NT?

    Cheers.

queensland is awfully big, which part? If brisbane then i'm not too sure about teeshirts, but fortitude valley is where all the clubs and bars are, there are some nice boozers in the city also

    Thanks sexypixel,

Have heard good things about fortitude valley so have added it to my list.

I'm going to be travelling pretty much all over the place. Its a big area but I've got time.

Any other suggestions? I'm open so tell me where to go?

PS: Hell is not orginal or clever.

    PPS: nice site.

soo much to do in queensland, fist i'd head north from brisbane, stop off in Noosa, a very nice, but posh coastal town with amazing surf beach, then head up to Fraser Island, you can rent a 4 wheel drive with a few other travellers and head out to the island, there are no road, just sand tracks, you can drive down the beach with planes landing next to you and camp out at night.. beware of tiger sharks on the beach tho, they tell you not to swim... dont! you can swim in the natural water lakes, lake macensie is the nicest... (there are photos in my photos section of my site)

further north is Airlie beach, a gateway to the whitsunday islands, this is a small town but is very lively at night, loads of backpackers stop there to get fucked drunk for a few weeks, get on board one of the yachts that do 3 day cruises around the islands and make sure it stops at whitehaven beach, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

Theres also Surfers paradise that is cheesy but lively, mission beach near cairns is nice too, cairns is a great town and a good place to scuba dive, further north is port Douglas where bill cvlinton likes to stay, then further north again is beautiful rain forests

Lucky you, it was the trip of my life traveling through queensland

    Brisbane clubs/bars :

The zoo: site of the first marijauna bust in queensland and probably the lovliest club i have ever been to, try and check out the dub sessions on sat. afternoon - free entry, free pool, and toss the boss (toss a coin (not the bar manager) and if you call it correctly you get the drink you ordered for free), not as regular as they used to be, but just about anything at the zoo is usually good.

The troupedor: nice tiny little club on brunswick st. Sometimes they play shitty folk music there other times dfeadly electronic noise, pick of the draw but a nice atmos and some funny square chairs that they defen with their lives (don;t try and sneakily throw them out the back window).

The royal george: the most beautiful shithole known to man, just great, a shitty pub with top forty nonsense playing all night but excellent drink specials on a thrusday night, proves that the punters can make a venue, no matter how crappy it is, great.

the press club: swanky little bar with fuck offly fantastic interior design and a big fan.

the elephant and the wheelbarrow: a shitty nostalgia, i wanna be 'ye olde' crpa hole, but sometimes downstairs has little underground gigs that rock.

reefos: (*WARNING THIS PLACE REALLY DOES SUCK, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PRETTY OPTIMISTIC ATTITUDE AND A GREAT IMAGINATION TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS PLACE IS COOL) reefos is a pub i love, a fucking awful looking place with pool tables that have fluro lightsinside them, palm trees & surfboards all over the place and wood carved tables that are just so fucking dumb to look at it hurts, i don;t know what it is about this place, it is soooo fucking dumb in every respect, but its just so great because of that.

The ALLEY: this is a tiny bar that is attached to the side of a bowling alley, well outside the usual club circuit, but its fucking brilliant, its also the untouched hoem of aussie hip-hop in brisbane, 'the herd','ugly duckling', 'brothers stoney', if you've heard any of these bands than you'l' dig the alley atmos.(note you don't have to like those bands to dig the atmos)

Ric's: the standard in tiny bars with good music, associated with the cafe next door so you can get a $4 breakfast at anytime of day or night, rics is cool, and when a shitty pub across the way called "belushi's" tried to shut them down with wack noise complaints, all the waiters started wearing "fuck belushi's" t-shirts, a priceless example of why ric's is ok.

there's more but my fingers are tired, and i have to go back to being abused on yayhooray.
