i wouldnt just take 'inspiration' from websites just because they happen to be in the same sector.
just make sure its well thought out. keep it clean, solid, professional/concise.
try to resist the temptation of [too] cheesey stock photography models too.

agreed.

be sure to include lots of blink tags and Powerpoint graphics.
I saw go with a pink background with yellow and blue text.

not to be a dick, but shouldn't you have some ideas of your own? comeon, it's not reinventing the wheel.
- elwolverton0
hahahahahaha.
of course i have ideas of my own.
i was just curious as to what the NT world at large would have to say about redesigning this site.
i'm not making comparisons with my own opinions yet. sorry.

I selected those lawfirms because they were in my bookmarks....and they looked okay
no i don't think you should rip sites, but should check out what's hip with the legal community as far as design goes....
things to avoid...
scales of justice.... they'll want it, don't let them have it.
stock photos, (already said me thinks)
chess boards, way overdone legal metaphor.

Just avoid any contrived imagery altogether...but good human interaction and 'people' photos can create a relaxing and trusting feel...

people interaction photos....can they involve the sphincter?
- jankin0
i would replace the purple with yellow. That's it.

jesus christ...well whatever you do it's gonna be better than that!
Firstly I would look at a lot of financial/law/bluchip sites to get a feel for designing for that sector...
Then give it your own little something and have at it!

what do you expect people to say? I think I'd make a start first and ask for a crit when you have something to look at. Keep it safe and simple, classy and elegant.. professional blah blah blah. just make sure all your spacer gifs are called 'wolfbagger.gif'

maybe i'll implement the genius of cuddy.
