I believe the iPod is becoming such an icon - and esp. in the design(er) world, that deep down most ppl here wish it was something designed by them... I know I do, and if you think about why do you design in the first place as oppose to practise art?
this product has achieved what most web designers wish their website could achieve
thus, ppl here (and many others all around the world) are very keen to follow it's progess
