Seriously, what should a freelancer do for a best relation with a client?
(Long-term, good relation and profitable expectation about nice projects to develop in a creative area, of course)
-Legal and business strict driven contract, or a more friendly version of a contract, even a simple agreement?
-offering the most services possible we can take care of, like maintaning, updating, prospecting and projecting new works for a future?
-etc..
I know it depends a lot within certain types of clients, such as creative directors of Ad agencies, Marketing consultants and also home employees or small business, like a 'corner store' or reord label that we're dealing with...
But I guess this could be the starting point to discuss good or bad experiences freelancers and business people around here, as well as a definition of a personal strategy. Not to be a strategy snipper or anything here..
It just came out by a simple thought I had in question:
-Should pay the contractor, affiliate or client the dinner a dinner we may have (or something), or the opposite situation, let him pay me these "appointment/leisure royalities"?

ok, I had to say it. For a clear tomorrow.
have a nice morning.

and something important I forgot to mention.
our 1st way to approach clients when payments are in due, let them know that our status is so important as their position in a company?
(client Vs friend)

well. you as a freelancer are a company. so all the ethics, guidelines, legal aspects, interpersonal rules etc. are on a business to business basis. and to most of your points you mention there's is no straight, simple generic answer.
