i would like some feedback on my first ever portfolio website.
after weeks of deciding what design i was going to do, it's finally live - all critisism is welcome. i am not a web designer so all technical issues will be passed on to the person that built it for me :-) (thanks dave for the site building!).
cheers

its great for your first site mate, but I wouldnt bother with the people on here there opinions are more often than not unfounded and shite. the bloke above just gave a perfect example. keep up the good work pal
- jevad0
why have you got web work in your portfolio then?
- Nev0
thanks dita

i have web work on there because i design the look of the site, then i use a flash developer, or whatever medium the client wants to build it in.
is that an adequate answer?

works fine here on safari! i only would change the arrows.
tight and useful.

don't get shirty mate - you're the one who said you were a print designer! I was only asking!

looks a little heavy... and overpowering, and the images are too small, can't really see what is going on with them...
and web stuff is pretty much like the print stuff... have you links to the work.
It's seems more a site to say 'look what I've done' rather than 'actually have a look at what I've done'

thats a fair comment James. the main thing i was trying to do was get companies (when i send the link out) to contact me for a meeting and then i can show them my folio for which i have printed samples and things for them to physically hold.
true, the sites do look like the printed work, this is because the sites were designed at the same time as the brochures and had to tie in with each other.
the site wasn't really supposed to be a full viewing folio - rather a sort of taster. did that make sense? i'm not sure. but thanks though. i can still have another go for version 2.
