Mojave 3 is awesome. great picks man! digging on that lindy lou tune. never heard of the 6ths before.
at your suggestion, i got the new Deathcab CD. fucking awesome CD. i bought it probably 2 months ago almost and it hasn't left my play rotation yet! Transatlanticism has to be one of the greatest songs ever recorded.
i still have to try some of their older stuff though. i hear it has a different flavor.

yea man. the 6ths are a side project of Magnetic Fields. weird shit but good shit. not really too much like standard Magnetic Fields though. lots of outside talent singign and playing.
older deathcab stuff has the same basic flavor, but the recording quality is a little less produced. more of a lo-fi sound. honesetly though, their old stuff is every bit as tight as the new shit. i'll upload some for you to try later.
if you like what you hear on transatlanticism, you'll dig the older shit too. i swear, those guys CAN'T write a bad song.

ooh love the 6ths and MF and anything stephin merritt does. need to get Pieces of April sndtrck he did, heard it's good. Future Bible Heroes is good too, saw em last yr and they did all their songs super grand, magnetic fields style. soooo good
cant get into death cab/postal service. not sure why, seems kinda whiney/boring?
- Bio0
stephin merrit is hardcore indeed.
havent checked out the Pieces of April soundtrack or Future Bible Heros yet, but i hear good things about them.as for deathcab / postal service being whiney, all i can do is heartily disagree.
=)

yeah i dunno if it's whiney, i def like alot of bands/musicians many would consider 'whiney' but something about that guy's voice/singing style doesnt sit right with me. i'm in the minority tho as most the world is raving about Postal Service
